One of my favorite fall desserts is apple crisp. This is a simple and fast recipe to throw together.
3 lbs. granny smith apples (about 4 or 5 apples)
1 tsp. cinnamon
3/4 to 1 cup flour
1 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup butter
1/2 tsp. salt
1 cup rolled oats
Wash, peel, and core apples. Chop apples into pieces and place in shallow baking dish. Combine rest of ingredients and spread over apples in dish. Bake at 375 degrees for 30 minutes. Best served warm with vanilla ice cream.
Note: I never peel the apples when I make this and we still love it. If you don’t have vanilla ice cream you can put a scoop of cool whip on top.
