The "Nestlings" Wing

I had the hardest time figuring out what to do on the long wall that
runs along the outside of the "nestlings" bedrooms.
I found a book that one of "nestlings" made at preschool and was going to toss it,
then I had a light bulb moment, and thought
"I should frame the art on the wall outside the "nestling" rooms." Since it's not a prominent area of our home it doesn't matter that it's children's art.
I put a little red bench in the middle section to break up the length of the wall.
I showed the first two sections of the wall here and here.

In the last section I framed a large collage of photos of our family
the "husbird" made into a poster a few years back.
The kids art says, "Leaves change colors and Leaves fall down."
Now the "nestlings" have colorful, kid friendly walls to enjoy.

  2. This is my first time to your lovely blog via Twice Remembered. I love your "Hall of Fame" featuring your children's art work and mementoes. So clever. Adding the bench was a great idea.

  6. This really turned out good. I like that you used black and white and not just one color. It really mixed it up in a beautiful way! Love your hallway...I bet you do too! Great job.

  12. Just found your blog through Just a Girl. I have been wanting to put my children's baby clothes like you did with the onesie and hat in something like that but haven't seen it done. Now that I see it...I must go get the frames. So precious!
