Viva Las Vegas

The “husbird” had a work conference in Las Vegas for a couple of days, so we decided to tag a long.  There are a lot of things I don’t like about Vegas, but the “nestlings” have never been there, just driven through, so I thought they’d like to see some of the sites.  I don’t have a lot in the way of pictures, since I was on my own with all five I didn’t get the camera out much.IMG_9614We're staying at a the Marriott Residence Inn a few blocks from the strip.  It is awesome. They serve breakfast and a light dinner.  It is so helpful to not have to worry about two meals.  In the morning we get ready, eat breakfast, pack a lunch and snacks, and we're off to explore for the day until dinner time. We walked the strip and them some.  I think everyone's legs almost fell off from all the walking we did yesterday.

Today we swam in the hotel pool in the morning and then drove out to the Silverton casino in the afternoon to see a live mermaid show in a giant aquarium.  I found the fish more fascinating than the mermaid and the Bass Pro shop was amazing.  It is like a Cabelas on steriods.  It was full of animals, aquariums, waterfalls.  Super fun to wander around looking at everything.

And of course a trip to Vegas wouldn't be complete without a stop at the Bellagio fountains. Those never get old.

In the morning we are onto our next adventure---driving to Mexico.
