A Mother's Job is Never Done

There is so much to do when you are a Mother isn't there? I don't think that changes when your children grow up either. I see all that my mom does and she is still very busy. If the sheets are clean the carpet needs to be vacuumed, if the carpet is vacuumed the laundry needs to be done and list goes on forever. I don't know about you, but I often find it hard to sit down when I look at and think about all that needs to be done. Today was a particularly busy day, where I tried to cram as many things into my day as I could. There is something about knowing a baby is on it's way in less than four months that has kicked me into high gear.
Here are just a few of the things I did today...

picked out clothes for several "nestlings" and ironed them
dressed a "nestling"
exercised for an hour
quickly looked through the newspaper and mail
wiped a "nestling's" bum
made a snack for "nestlings"
quickly checked my email
cleaned up the playroom
listened to a "nestling" practice the piano
picked up around the house, but didn't even put a dent in the amount of things that need to put away- namely toys
put away three loads of laundry
transferred "T's" summer clothes out of his closet and got out his winter clothes
made lunch
cleared everything out of a cupboard so I could,
relocate all the "nestlings" art supplies to that cupboard
vacuumed a little
cut branches of a tree for daughters reflection project for school
helped daughter figure out what to draw, what colors, and attach drawings to branches
wrapped three wedding gifts
helped a "nestling" write a thank you note
wiped "nestling's" bum again
packaged an item I need to return
looked for receipt for said item
picked up countless dirty stray socks...

And now if you'll excuse me. I think I'm going to drop dead, dead asleep that is.
Hope I can wake up in the morning, because I have a another busy one tomorrow.

  2. That is a great picture, love it!!

It's always nice to write out a list of everything you do... not only so your hubby can read it and appreciate you more :) but so you can feel proud of all your accomplished that day.

Great job, you sure stayed busy!!
