Summer Reprieve
The "nestlings" are at my mom and dads for the next 48 hours. While the "husbird" works I'm going
to tackle my laundry room. It's THEE ROOM. You know the one where
everything that doesn't have a home gets dumped?! It's in desperate need
of a major clean out. I can barely get in it to do the laundry.
If I get that done maybe I can take a nap. Ha ha. Like that is going to happen! My to do list is endless really. We'll see how much I can get done while the "nestlings" are gone. It's crazy
what you can accomplish with no interruptions. I don't even remember
what that is like. Do you?

Monster Truck and Other Photo-ops
For our activity this week we went to check out a large sporting good store that opened up not too long ago.

Those that were brave enough rode the large Ferris wheel.

Then we found these fun photo areas upstairs.

We had fun taking pictures for quite some time.

The monster truck one was the "nestlings" favorite.
Of course they each wanted a turn to drive the truck.
Minus the Ferris wheel ride, it was free entertainment. Gotta love that!

Simple Summer Plan
I put together a little plan to help pass the long summer days. I'm
hoping even in it's simplicity it will help keep the harmony and
happiness I want our summer to have.
Mondays-Swimming Day (take the "nestlings" swimming for a couple of hours at the neighborhood pool)
Tuesdays-Art or Craft Day (make some sort of craft or art project)
Wednesday-Friend Day ("nestlings" can have a friend over to play)
Thursday-Activity Day (we go somewhere to do some sort of activity out of the house, i.e.-bird aviary, splash pad park, museum, etc.)
Friday-Errand day (not the most exciting day, but groceries have to be bought to keep us all fed)

Even though this isn't some elaborate and detailed plan it will at least add some structure to our days.
If we get off on our days that's okay, we'll be flexible. This will just help the "nestlings" have something to look forward to and for me to plan. A win, win, I hope.
