let a weird guy use your bathroom that came to your house to pick up something from the classifieds?

A couple came to pick up this rocking chair that I was selling on the local online classifieds. The man asked if he could use my bathroom and I didn't really feel comfortable letting him, but I couldn't think up a good enough excuse not to let him.
The "husbird" wasn't home, just me and the four "nestlings."
Am I just paranoid? What would you have done?
